So....

I had organized a guild group to go through and clear FoW. We had 3 monks (Me, Friend, my hero monk, because I knew my friend would have to leave before it was over), nuker, tank, 2 ursanways and a MoW SS.

By the Time we were done with 9/11 quests (Slaves of Menzies and The Hunt still left to do), my friend had AFKed and our nuker had left due to parentspike.

We had just started in on the burning forest(slaves of menzies) when !BLAM! "Your Party Has Been Defeated." All NPC's were alive. All areas had been cleared.
So... *cough*. A great waste of 2.5 hours I'll say.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I think it's a bug and it has been reported many many times.

Yeah that been happened many time for many ppl... anet should fix it

It could be a bug, or it could be one of the NPCs dying, which seems unlikely if your whole party is somewhere else (and thus can't trigger popups near Rastigan or patrols near the Weaponsmith).

Or maybe something bad happened to the Tower Mage.

I believe if the "mage" NPC dies, your done, happen to me once

Its a well known bug.

Btw your post title is slightly annoying. If I may make a polite suggestion that you make your post title a little more descriptive in future.

Not a bug, really. I see this weekly in the Game Bugs forum.

Either the Tower Mage or the Forrest Griffons died.

This has happened loads of times to various people, sadly it looks like you will just have to deal with it.

Tower Mage.
Happened to me and a friend, when you escort the tower mage stay with them for 5-10mins and kill anything that comes close.

Not a bug, nothing to discuss, try using search next time and find a thread about this - searching in the BUGS forum for possible known BUGS is a good idea before posting.
